Jolanda Bardhi
I was born in Korce, Albania and came to Colorado in 2013. I am married and have two boys — Dejvis (11) and Alvin (8). I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping and vacations. I have been at Little Red for almost 3 years. I love being with children each day; they are learning at such a fast rate and come up with some great ideas. At Little Red I also love the environment we have created — the triangle of teachers, children and families.
Moira McDermott
Moira is finishing up her first year here in Colorado and brings with her six years of experience as a dedicated nanny. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she has a passion for early childhood development and loves supporting children as they discover who they are through creativity, outdoor exploration, and hands-on learning. Moira is thrilled to be in the classroom and looks forward to another exciting summer of growth, curiosity, and joy with the kids!
Tailzhen Cano
Tailzhen was born in a tropical country, Nicaragua. She is a mom of a 6-year-old boy and studied to be a general doctor — tools that help her take care of children. This is her first year in the US; she is enjoying the cold weather, the mountains and learning the language, and loves being part of the toddler room team.
Sophia Whitcomb
Sophia is originally from New Hampshire and has been living on and off in Colorado for the past eight years, and is just finishing her first full year here. She has spent the last five years working in Reggio-inspired infant and toddler classrooms and loves being part of this work. Sophia finds it especially meaningful to watch children grow, explore, and make sense of the world around them, and is excited to continue building relationships with the children and families while being part of such a connected classroom community.
Audrey
Audrey: I was born and raised in Snowmass, Colorado and attended Aspen Community School and Aspen High School, before heading off to Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA where I earned my B.A. in Psychology. With a strong focus in childhood development I believe that this background will allow me to bring a thoughtful, supportive approach to early childhood education by creating environments where children feel safe, seen and excited to explore. I have always been passionate about working with children, and I strive to foster spaces that encourage curiosity, confidence and connection. Growing up in the Roaring Fork Valley instilled in me a deep appreciation for community and the outdoors, both of which I see as essential to a child’s growth and learning. Incorporating both will help children build meaningful connections with both their environment and one another.
